Here It Goes Again…

Hi Everyone!

Wow, has it really been since January? I feel terrible about that, but I’m here to say I’M BACK!

Life has been rough recently…I just received an email that informed me I did not get a job that I was really interested in (I thought I nailed the interview, but hey, what happens happens right?). I am working almost 40 hours a week, but the pay isn’t what I was hoping for after being out of college for a year. So I guess I’m here to say that this isn’t going to get me down. I’m going to keep applying and writing cover letters until my fingers bleed and it’s all paid off because I’ve finally gotten my dream job. Every single successful person in the world has dealt with a lot of rejection, so this is just one of the steps I have to take to being successful.

I’m so looking forward to keeping up with this blog more in the new year. My resolution is to keep up with blogging!

Last year, my resolution was to read more. To make sure that I did that I started a blog called Paradise is a Book. I didn’t read as many books as I would have liked to, but I’m pretty happy with the fact that I actually kept up with a new year’s resolution for once.

Has it Really Been So Long?

Oh man, I feel terrible about not posting for so long. Has it really been since August? I do have some reviews to write for the products in the last post (I’ll do that in a post after this one). I really wanted to take this post to write a little bit about what’s been going on in my life the past few months.

First of all, it’s finally officially fall! I’m so happy that I can wear sweaters and leggings and boots without being judged again! Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year. I love the leaves changing, the cooler weather, and Halloween. It’s seriously, my favorite.

As for news, I posted a while back that I was looking for a job and having little luck finding anything full-time. Now, don’t get too excited because I still haven’t found anything like that.

Hi Guys! I participated in the P&G Everyday Challenge for Influenster and this was my gift box! I’ll be doing reviews on all of these products once I’ve used them long enough and have taken some pictures. I’m looking forward to sharing these with you!

Shameless Self Promotion Anyone?

First of all, I want to thank everyone who commented on my last post with their encouraging words. I really appreciate it and it made me feel a lot better about not doing very well with the job search. Thanks so much ❤

Since my last post a lot of really great things have happened. This past Saturday I went to a graduation party for my (third?) cousin. While I was there lots of people congratulated me on graduating college and asked what my plans were. After telling a few people I was just looking for jobs and trying to have a little bit of a mental break, I was introduced to one of my cousin’s aunts who has a job in communications. She gave me a lot of good advice about what to look for and even said that she would check out some of her own connections for me to see if anyone was hiring. We’ve connected on LinkedIn and have started emailing each other. I’m really excited about this, but I still don’t want to get my hopes up.

Post-Grad Thoughts: What’s Next?

So far I’ve used this blog as a place to review new/free products that I’ve received from Influenster, but I really want it to be kind of a personal/lifestyle type blog. I really wanted to have somewhere to post my thoughts, feelings, or whatever I feel like writing about that isn’t my professional blog. So here it goes…

It’s almost been a month since I graduated from Temple. I’m officially Temple Made, but I’m not exactly sure what’s next in my life. I mean, I know that I have to find a job, get a car, and start paying back my loans…but I’m not really sure about anything right now.
